Landrum, SC: Where to Eat, Stay, & Play

Just 45 minutes from downtown Greenville and an hour from downtown Asheville, we hope that you'll like Landrum just as much as we do.

Looking for a great lunch or dinner? Check out some of our favorites:

  • The Hare & Hound (101 E. Rutherford St.) serves pub favorites like fish & chips, Guinness pie, and classic burgers. Don't miss their weekend specials!
  • Stone Soup Market & Cafe (1522 E. Rutherford St.) is a great spot for soups and salads, wood-fired pizza, and more. Be sure to check out their market, which has tasty grab-and-go meals and house made frozen casseroles ready to go. We recommend calling ahead and making a reservation if you have a large party.
  • Southside Smokehouse (726 S Howard Ave) serves Carolina-style barbecue and other American classics. They support local farmers as often as possible and have an extensive full bar!

Want to stretch your legs? Check out some nearby hiking trails:

  • Chestnut Ridge Heritage Preserve is home to an out-and-back trail that takes you up the side of Squirrel Mountain. Keep your eyes peeled for bear, deer, turkeys and raccoons!
  • Jones Gap State Park is truly worth the drive. Enjoy miles of hiking for multiple activity levels and some of the best trout fishing around! Jones Gap State Park now requires parking reservations on weekends and holidays.

A quick note- you may see Blue Wall Heritage Preserve come up as a recommended place for hiking in the area. Disregard your AllTrails app, they're currently closed due to Hurricane Helene damages. Wherever you go to get outside, remember to carry of plenty of water and the Ten Essentials. Many of the areas in the Upstate have limited cell service.

  • Barking Fox Farm hosts two charming guest cottages on a working farm. You'll see Scottish Highland cattle and enjoy true southern hospitality.
